XP is the best , and will be the best for a while.

Vista was the shit, it was good for "starters" like old people, but it was shit for the others that already know how to use a pc.

I wish microsoft actualy cared about making good products. I have to use windows or mac for my job and I don't own an apple computer, so I'm stuck with windows for now. Sadly, XP cannot use more than 3.25GiB of my ram, and vista has so many compatibility issues that I don't even want to risk installing it. I hope the production version of windows 7 stops sucking so much ass. Or maybe if wine on linux would run photoshop+premier+AE+illustrator.

1. Vista isn't really that bad, it runs fine for me and has only crashed a few times, but that was due to me (bleep)ing about on gmod lul.
What's your problem with it, now that most things run fine on vista?

2. Windows 7 is like a big service pack for vista, it has greatly improved performance and is generally better at doing everything :P

3. Lists of three are generally more persuasive.

I bet half of you have never even used Vista and you still bitch about it. When it was released, it was buggy shit but some time (couple patches) it started working fine. And the thing that why your pc runs games slower on Vista is because it steals some 1 gb ram for its own use so that it could run faster, or if you just have 1 gb of memory it steals like 700 mb of it. So it's kind of not made for gaming. I used Windows Vista Enterprise for couple of months, and I didn't face any major problems, and then I changed back to XP. And that's because of the ram thing.

Dood, I've got Vista.
And It sucks ass. Hard.

I had a separate drive for my recovery files, little something that I made to make sure that if my computer gets blown to bits due to my frquent torrent downloading, I would have something to fall-back on. I put every security protection on there, Non-rewritable, on system alert, shiz like that.

Then, I had to format a blank disc I had just bought, but Instead of formatting the disc, It formats Everything other than C:/, which means my recovery files are gone. Now I can't make another one since 'Access is Denied' (I HAVE FULL CONTROL WTF?).

Also, The amount of space left in My C:/ drive seems to just dwindle away slowly, even though I haven't downloaded/added/installed anything for the past coupla days.

@ up...exactly...

many ppl havent ever used vista..all they have heard of is the 3-D thing,aero theme & later coming to know it is available to the Premium version...

Also not many like me have a powerful rig to run that demon .... I use XP,but have no prob in upgrading..My sis has a vista installed laptop & I don't seem to hate it..
