try to download new version of Games for windows it helped me. if u have the newest 1 then remove it from your comp and install the new 1 again ;)

No, but it is Gaming Chat, and it doesn't specify whether or not that means games being played or games unable to be played.

On a related note, have you tried reinstalling? It's really odd that you have this problem, and if it persists after a reinstall and patching up to the latest version, you should check your disks for scratches and the like, and check your hard disks for errors.

Also, what are your PC specs? I understand you said they're adequate, but I would like to know exactly what adequate is.
