As an Lieutenant, I have a pretty good handle on the general responsibilities of my rank. However, I need the specifics if I am to function properly as an iCoF officer, right? I want to be able to do my job properly, so my questions are these: As aforementioned, what exactly are the specific duties of my rank? Also, in direct relevance to my other question, what are the specifics of recruiting? (if recruiting is one of my duties) The recruiting thread told me lots about recruiting people, but i need to know things like who to recruit, how I should test them, the general amount of replays I should take, and which mods I should test them in.

Yes, you got it right on. You are able to test people that are on the waiting list. You can find them, or they can find you, then you can do their replays(more details to come ;) )

And yes, you are now able to 'schmooze' with other clans to bring us a good name, join their servers if they'll allow you, make a good name with them, and let Pik know so he can make a decision with the help of the Officers.

Hope that clears it up!

That is your call Killa, if you need help with something and you believe someone has the tools/knowledge to help then ask them to. This is also a great way to test the lower ranks on their leadership/responsibility level. It could be anything from mass-sending messages to holding op while others go to a tourney. Remember though, if you hand down a responsibility to someone and it doesn't get done, you are the one held responsible because it was originally your responsibility. Choose your minions well MWAHAHAHAHaahahahah!

Report #1:
ToriDeath has a habit of Cussing. I am trying to get him out of that habit, but with my current situation of, 'Not-really-able-to-play-because-of-my-mother' I would like other members to look out for him and say 'Cussing!' everytime he swears.
Of Course, it is not just ToriDeath, but I'm sure others do that to that I have not met before.

What are the specifics of recruiting?

1. a First Lieutenant should be:
at least somewhat forum-active, checking most importantly the waiting list (among other threads) regularly;
checking in with the captains and keeping an eye on the first lieutenants (and indeed all lower ranks);
helping other members who desire/need training (or searching it out if you need it too);
polite and courteous at all times;
spending at least some time playing with other clans, to both learn about and possibly eventually have an alliance with them);
aware that as an officer your actions reflect on the clan as a whole more-so than some other members'

2. Specifics of recruiting.

who to recruit: people who have demonstrated both sportsmanship and etiquette in playing, who are friendly and easy-going, who don't claim they're the best. people who will stay with us.

how I should test them: when you are testing someone, take them to a seperate room where you can fight without (too many) interruptions.

the general amount of replays I should take: 4.

which mods I should test them in: aikido, judo, kickbox, wushufixed

once you've got 4 replays, check if there is a thread called
" [applicantsname] to join or not to join? "

if yes, upload your replays. if no, make the thread, and upload your replays, and add a poll (public voting, one-week-poll),

Should applicantsname be allowed to join ICOF?

Yes
No (please explain why you picked this option)

then upload your replays and wit for another officer to test that person and upload their own replays, and then vote for that person.

When voting, please consider not the win/loss record, but the players overall skill, choice of moves, recovery abilities, and keep above all else in mind their personality.

Inappropriate language is not acceptable.

This game gets intense at times. Tourneys can get the blood pumping, especially after the 20 minute wait for your turn. It can be flustering to lose an opportunity, but you showed your fury in the dojo. Please do not take your negative, emotionally charged words, to the chat. If nothing nice about the match can be said from you, a courteous 'GG' will suffice.

Compliment someones win, if you are humble enough. ToriBash is a game that requires some skill and familiarity with the movements of the character. Take a loss as a learning experience. Plenty of times I will lose a match but gain a useful piece of knowledge, namely, 'I wont do that again', or 'I will try that differently next time'.

Inner Calm, Outer Fury. The name is representative of how we expect you to present yourselves to the ToriBash community. If you are cursing for any reason, it is pretty much a dead give away that you are not calm, or stable emotionally.

It is a game. Enjoy it. Don't make it unpleasurable for others to play with you.

(Since this is on the first page I will start a list of explanations on rules and behavior. Check this page as a reference before making a submission in this thread.)
