Not anything too important but the Westboros Baptist Church came to protest at my school today.
Only 6 members though, so they got swarmed by a mob of angry teenagers. ^.^
No fistfights or anything happened but it was fun reading the signs that my classmates made like "Attention Whores Get Lost" or "God loves Gays".

They only stayed for 30 minutes and wasted our time.

Ah,religious nuts.I was once stopped by what appeared to be Jehovah's Witnesses,and we had an interesting conversation.It was something like this.

Heh. I'am a religious person but I'm not the type that force people to believe in God . I respect everyone's view of life, how they want to live and where to put their faith in. These people who try and question others beliefs, they are idiots who doesn't know how to respect each others faith or way of thinking. I don't question others beliefs. When idiots like these try to question my religion I manage to humiliate them sarcastically. sarcasm for the win!

I have no issues with people who don't try to spread their religion.I can believe there's an invisible,untouchable,all-wise,omnipotent,omniscient being in the skies.I can also believe the sky is filled with flying donuts.Or leprechauns.The only thing these share is the amount of evidence for them.Mentioned in books.Well wow,there are 7 books about Harry Potter.Why should I believe what I read in a bible without question,and not do the same for Harry Potter ? Oh,it's written by a god.How do you know ? It's the word of a god.How do you know ? Because the bible tells us so.Bah.

Trust me,if someone showed me actual evidence for intelligent design of any kind,I would believe in it.And I mean evidence that makes sense and one which cannot be disproved easily.Example - gravity.I can feel gravity.I see its effects all around me.I can experiment with it.It never changes.Even if it would be more convenient for me to not believe in it,I know it's there.That's why you don't see me attempting jumps from buildings and onto concrete.

Now some people would say the entire universe is created by some all-powerful deity.In the beginning it was only the dude,and he decided to make a universe and inhabit it with people.Right.Where did the deity come from ? Oh,he was always there.Right.So a being capable of creating an extremely sophisticated universe could have always been there,but an extremely sophisticated universe could not have always been there.That all sounds fine and dandy for most of the religious folk.I'm fine with that.Until and unless it starts getting in my way.If a religious person does me or anyone I concider an innocent being/a friend any harm,I will retaliate with all I have.

Believe in whatever you want,but keep it to yourself.Many people have tried to change my mind about religion.All of them have failed.At the end of the day,when christians cross the street,they look both ways.

P.S: This isn't aimed towards you,Gotkicks2,it's just a small part of my general opinion towards the various religions.

Pure: They were protesting because they were in the area. Seriously, They go to pretty much any high school or college and protest there so that they can "Warn the people that the world is evil".
At least I heard from everyone.
They might have came because theirs gay and bisexual students at our school.
Or maybe just had some spare time xD

My opinion on this subject:
I was raised christian at first and didn't really care for it.I never went to church, almost never said any prayers, and never read the bible.
I just knew that if you were a good person, you'll go to heaven and be happy forever.
If your a bad person, you'll go to hell and burn in agonizing pain forever.

Then when I was 13 years old, my grandma wanted to me to start reading christian books, so I said "sure watdahell", and after reading like 2-3 books I said

If god was so powerful than why can't he just forgive us for our sins instead having Christ to die?
Why does god kill more people in the bible than Satan?
Why is the Bible so sexist?
If it's such a holy book than why were people able to use it to defend slavery?
Why can't god forgive honest mistakes?
How do we know this is the word of god? (The bible itself saying that it is the word of god isn't nearly enough proof)
Why can't homosexuals go to heaven?
Why do we have to beleive in god in order to go to heaven?
Isn't being a good person enough?

I really hate religion, it causes too many wars and too many deaths.
It confuses people and makes them do crazy things.

I believe only in what i can see, feel, smell, hear and so on.. and LT.. you are right with that. You know when i was younger, I thought that.. if this whole universe would just be like...something part of some reeally huge thing.. you know that everything is always part of something bigger.. now when i got back to this subject, my head kinda blew up when i thought of all those possibilities.. to quote Kely's sig. "big bang theory, firts there was nothing... which exploded" give it a while thinking that and see how far your imagination can go.. I bet that not going to sleep tonight
