Yeah the piercings do hurt, not for as long as you might think though.
But hey, if you wanna do something, do it. The pain of getting piercings lasts for about 15 - 30 minutes. Maybe some swelling over a couple of days but they are with you for the rest of your life, seems like a good trade off don't you agree?

If I had considering only physical pain, I would already have done it. The point is that my parents are quite rigid about it. One day I told my mom: "ooh im gonna tattoo my arm mommy!!" She said: "you can do whatever you want when you reach 18 years old, but don't forget that depending on what you do, you will be kicked out of home."

Not so permanent. My brother wanted a labret since he was about 14. At 17, he finally got one. After 3 weeks he deicded to take it out forever. He said any piercing involving the mouth is "fuckin annoying"
