To be honest, yes I like thresh, but my go to support is nami, she is so well rounded that it is hard to take her down alone, and if she is with a carry forget about it.

Nami, Thresh and Lulu are the best supports right now in my opinion, but since any hard engager eats sushi with Nami, she's only available in few situations.
