Ehmmm do you know how many colors have a gif pictures palate? 256..
Normal pictures like jpg,png etc. have 65,536, 16,777,216 or 4,294,967,296 colors...thats the problem..

I can you make an .avi in high quality. But GIFs are one of the lowes qualiti pictures/movies,designet for the web (for fast download..)
