OK this is really dumb but I really like this label PC Music
The artists there are like electropop but like excessively poppy and banal to the point of seeming ironic/satirical but it's also got that post-ironic new sincerity thing going on too
I've also seen a term thrown around for them called "bubblegum bass" which is a crossover of bubblegum pop and uk bass
At first I thought it was like really dumb and too mainstream for my cool hipster tastes but its too catchy to ignore now
even bigger artists are hopping on the sound and people like Madonna and Charli XCX are having SOPHIE produce for them to surprisingly good results imo
