When I was thrown out of my house I had 50 or so dollars, nobody leaves home with that little cash. I hopped between friends houses for a week, then stayed at my grandparents for a while until things cooled down.

I would buy packets of pencils. let's say the price of a single pencil would come to 30 pence. I would sharpen them with a utility knife blade from a local building site. Then I'd sell them for 35 pence each near a local school and repeat.

I'd carry this on until I had about 15$ and then inherit my great uncle.
