The problem with telling the school is that most of the time they suspend you even if you were just defending yourself. In your case, the kid was starting the whole thing. If the teacher can't see that he's bullying you, then the teacher mustn't be very good. You shouldn't have to go tell the teacher because they should be watching for that kind of thing anyway, so I don't listen to the office when they say "Oh you should have come to a teacher and said he was picking on you!"

guys think of this. if someone wants to fight u and is annoying you and u jsut ignore it u gonna get the piss took outa yah. for example in P7 (im english so we dont have grades) we were having a basketball match for PE. we were losing until are teacher helped and scored he was kidding about. then he comes up and starts mouthing off bout stuff. he said we won, i said u didnt he said u wanna fight about it. we went outside he came up to me thinking i would jsut take shit from him he started kicknig me i as like wtf punched him and threw him to ground (he wasnt that tough or big same size as me) he gets up and walks away. if i had just let him beat my ass down, i would get shit for the rest of my primary school year. if u gotta fight fight dont take shit.
