FFXI, it's an online title, can't really rate it, seeing as I never played it.
I did, and it was pretty ok, considering it's an mmo.
It had a good online community, interesting classing system and epic graphics, not to mention a level of depth that was rather unnecessary.
Downside, it has a subscription fee, and the difficulty is rather high. Dying in wow results in some damaged equipment and a short jog. In FF, the more you approach higher levels, the more you can die to things levels below you, and when you do die, I've seen people lose 3+ levels instantly (that's right, you lose experience when you die. Like 2% of everything or something nearly as ludicrous).
