Youtube is already showing signs of suck, You cany upload anything over ten minutes, period anymore.
I like to think that the internet is something that cant be ruined so easily, but idk. This would suck if it happened, for sure.

Sure, it sucks that sites like youtube'll go down, and I'm absolutely dead against it, but what can we do? Besides, from what I understood from those articles, -and I could be wrong- Europe has no intention to hop along, so I couldn't care less really.
I'm just wondering; internet radios, will they go down or not?
EDIT: Also, you're retarded if you couldn't see something like this coming from a mile away, they've been trying pretty hard to stop illegal downloading, but weren't succeeding, about time for a new, better, more effective approach.
And I know you people will go 'BUT IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE HARMING ANYBODY, LIKE WITH STEALING, BY DOWNLOADING' but that's simply bullshit, since it takes away potential wealth, which in the end comes down to the exact same thing.

Actually you are right,in what your saying but they can't impose it on the whole friggin world,also if actually everyone buys a game instead of getting it for free,games would be a lot cheaper.But,actually supporting developers with these outragous prices is quite harder.

Oh it is a very big deal. The end of youtube alone would suppress exchange and criticism of ideas and strengthen "information bubbles" of individual communities, slowing down social progress.

Trust me, inability to torrent some game would be the least of our worries if this passes. It would change the face of internet entirely. Anything that's offensive to anyone can be easily censored. And implications of that are terrible.

I agree with WarCry. Conspiracy theorists my ass. On the internet a year ago or so they started talking about either shutting down the internet or censoring it. I don't know what's worse, but there is a lot of leaked government information and this was one of them. NWO. Europe is totally down with this idea when North America and South become a Union. All you Canadiens, Americans, and Mexicans of the sort prepare for the Amero like the Euro. Both South America and Canada are pretty much under Americas control... In due time... In due time.
