mine was a phony antivirus. It was like anitspyware 2007 or something. Another one made my screen go black so I had to restart. I eventually dled a real one, ran it in safe mode, and god rid of the fake.

My grandparents saw the phony anti-virus. They freaked out cos it was 'INFECTED'.
So they downloaded. Then they blame me. And my games.

My friend got this one virus, it was a dialup virus.
It dials the most expensive numbers and uses that as your internet connection. (BUT, the internet is slowed down, it almost takes 30 minutes to load the homepage, Reason it's slowed. is because it literally opens 30 internet explorer pages and each page is flooded with porn ads.)
if thats not enough trouble for you, it takes over your UAC, and administator rights. Plants its own files in the registry. Basically you have to reformat. It has numerous dll's in the sys32 folder and it's well hidden. Err, ill try to remember the name.
ALSO: Here's the good side. it forced him to buy a new computer, better then mine :v
