HTOTM: FUSION
The only thing i don't condone is the fact that she purchased a large amount of heroin in order to kill him, encouraging the business of the dealers. Sure, it's a drop in the ocean, but supporting the heroin trade in any way is despicable.

I'm sure there would be another alternative way to give him a (moderately)painless death.

What you guys are forgetting, is that if assisted suicide is legal, many more people would be pleading that at their court cases, and many would get away with it.

I guess it's a good thing we are talking about whether it was right or wrong, and not if it should be legal. She broke the law she went to jail, she did the morally right thing but it's legally wrong, that's pretty much all there is to it...
I agree with the mercy-killing, although it should have been done in the Siwss mountains, so it would have been legal.

OT: I though the most painless way would be to inject it into his drip bag?

There's nothing wrong with a well-done mercy killing.

A lot of the issues against it are extremely selfish.

I agree with this. However, there are also a lot of selfish reasons for it.

"I saw that she was in pain every minute of her life, so I had to put her out of her misery. It had nothing to do with me inheriting her entire estate and 500 million dollars"

Ah, Indeed.
Money didn't occur to me as I do not consider it important. When the law is involved, I guess it is a bit complicated. It should be up to the dying person if they are able to communicate.

Why do you need a doctor to kill someone?
Seriously, isn't killing someone easier than curing someone?
Oh? There was a doctor whose enire job was mercy killing. I forget his name, but I'm sure I can google it.
