No. Never save as a jpg. Save as png.
When you're making the spinning globe, under the amount of the frames is "turn from left to right"

hey there,
I have the same problem but i can fix it on my own.
my problem is that i have a program installed called ashampoo, every single picture's format to .apc this can actually be fixed by going into the program and saving it as jpg, or png etc.
or if you have another program it might be the same problem, same solution.

Yeah PNG or TGA if you wanna save the texture itself, if the spinning globe (Filters-Animation-Spinning globe) save as a GIF file.
