I agree 100%. I don't really think that a person starting out buying an airsoft gun should have one that costs 250$, but rather one that is 50$ or less, so that they can get used to the gun, and learn all of the safety lessons (or whatever)

hmm, well it depends how powerfull it is, like if its a 600 feet per second (fps) then they could be a little bit dangerous if u get shot in the face or something

Well we have a 350fps limit on the guns at the site I go to, and people still lose teeth, etc. So, yeah, definately be careful with 600fps guns.

You can get full face masks yes, and if you dont wear them and are injured it is entirely your fault. But some people choose not to wear them because they want something more realistic looking or for better visibility.

Because they have weak skin and/or were shot with a high-velocity gun at close range.

Have you seen such incidents happening regularly? Hell I've been hit in the eye numerous times when and have had no need for such medical attention especially not on such a severe scale. Perhaps you are thinking of metal bb's? I imagine eye protection is worn for the "what if" factor or the fact that it is rather unpleasant. In most airsoft fights only safety eyeglasses are worn.
