I'm at school right now on my school-issued laptop. We each paid $25 for this POS HP Compaq 6910p. It's better than nothing, but it still sucks ass.

As for the school's security and observation techniques, I acquired the admin password several months ago and used that to disable most of the stuff that they had installed.
