Obama did nothing before healthcare was passed noone could be denied for money if they were going to die without treatment.

They may not have been denied emergency treatment, but once they got treatment they would have to pay exorbitant amounts of money.

thnx for answering my question deady it was a really clear and not to long aswer

healthcare is getting more profit driven here to ( holland ), we have numerous healthinsurance companies all trying to get people to join them all with certain "benefits"
it will probably be still under overwatch of the government, but i have a feeling it is starting to become more and more about the money, i myself think 117 euro's a month is allot :P

The previous way healthcare worked was fine. The middle to upper class could afford it, and the poor people couldn't. If you can't afford it, tough luck.

Health care and insurance is a private industry. Corruption, money-hoarding and utter lack of empathy on the part of those companies is nothing new in any industry, so I don't see what the fuss is about. In addition to Obama mollycoddling the lower class (although I'm sure you liberals love that, what with your silly little obsession with the proletariat), he has also extended the length of time in which welfare is allowed, and is practically handing out unemployment through the courts, who are either unable or unwilling to stop it.

Now we're (apparently) giving healthcare to illegal immigrants, which I'm not going to complain about due to the fact that these immigrants are often easy to manipulate and work for dirt cheap, which offsets the cost, but it's the principle of the thing. We're headed for collapse, and it's because people like Squirre1 exist (HURR DURR I VOTE 4 HIM CUZ HIS BLACK AND UNDERSTND MAI PROBLMS).

It took him 2 years because he had to listen to the republicans screaming for compromise. Also, stop being so hypocritical, the Republicans kept complaining about how fast this bill was being "forced through congress" and to keep slowing it down, and now once it has passed you complain that it took too long, idiot.

That's not working fine, for you it may have been great because your mommy and daddy live in a rich neighborhood and were lucky to get a job.
