Then you are blind.

I know what you're suggesting, but not only is there no practical value in it, but it will also bring about the Competition of which I spoke of before, and the fact that people will begin judging on something that is, for all intents and purposes, completely useless, and more often than not, baseless.

Of course, you're not understanding my post - "I would rather not have a system in which people can judge someone so quickly simply for a stain put on their record" - Make a noticable icon showing the member's general reputation. Let me ask you - Why? What the hell is the point in bringing something into effect that will make noobs more noobish and that could bring gullible people to hate some of the community for no reason, and believe those who have good 'reputation' simply because the forums say they're good guys?

To tell the truth, the current system is flawed in my opinion, because it EXISTS. I don't have any idea why you'd want to bring something so stupid into effect. And, to repeat whats been said before, if you care so much, then just go and look at their profiles. I don't give a crap what other people think about each other, because people's opinions on other people differ. I'm sure quite a few people think the same.

To put it simply, if you can't be assed to read this, here's what I say in short - Making reputation more noticable is retarded because it attracts and cultivates idiots.
Q = QUAKER OATS
Three rules of Q - 1. Qegola and Quarantine both start with Q. 2. There is no U in Qegola. 3. Qegola is you new god.

So a man walks into a bar with a monkey. I forgot the rest of the joke but your mom is a whore.

Agreed. The purpose of these forums is to create a place for discussion, and if anything, a system of reputation inhibits that. Reputation systems create competition, and are flawed in their nature. They can easily be abused, just as karma was back in the day.

All we need are forums, without any fancy posting add-ons. A while back, you used to get credits for posting. You can imagine how ridiculous that got. Once you start giving prizes - whether intrinsic or usable - the quality of posting decreases.

Fine; fair point.

I was on the forums back then. I'd agree that the idea was ridiculous.
