Secret Santa 2024
Well, they successfully made him out to be a sex offender/maniac, I think backpats for the US are in order.

Whatever, if we're stupid enough to buy this cheap charade, we're not worth the time or effort.

he won the poll.

4chan had a nice action there, i was lurking /b/ and it was like 75% votes for him in a hour or so ;)

Also - DDoS'ing is ALSO made mainly by 4chan - and even i would say all of the DDoS attacks were made by Anonymous.

Lurk some more at /b/, pretty cool topics about wikileaks actions can be found.

Stand up and fight...(you must stay sit and become a hacker if u want) x)

Nice moral speech but nothing else. If You really wanna be a badass hacker, then You shouldn't ONLY use LOIC to DDoS with other 'ub3r haxors'. Get to the root servers and burn their shit up is the best way to show that cyber war is won. Not by only DDoS.

The reason I am so against the wikileaks is because some of the information released is endangering our troops over seas. So far, they have released atleast 100 reports dealing with afghani informants, and some of them name the informant, what village they live in, what insurgent leader they talked about, and atleast one US intelligence operative was named.
The civilians over there who help us already put their lives, and families lives in danger by talking to us. It is hard to earn their trust so they will talk to us, and now, if they talk to us their names go on the internet, it will be alot harder to earn their trust. There are also reports that show troop movements. If we cant gather intelligence on where and who the insurgents are, we cant fight them. So as a soldier, i am against wikileaks.
apparently he's been released on bail.

Yup, I knew it was /b/.

Anonymous's actions are so predictable there isn't much point in lurking.

eh PV...

Both Wikileak's team and the US vetted the released logs, and found nothing that could endanger lives.

The US found the documents you named within their own logs, aka Wikileaks may have them but did not release them.

This is the perfect example of the US spreading misinformation or ambiguous information to try and 'confuse people in to demonising Wikileaks'

Around $300,000. Problem is all of his bank accounts have been frozen so getting the money together may be slightly difficult.
The money was gotten together, and the 200 pounds bail was paid.

A bit of a dick move to set such a high bail when they know all his accounts/donations have been frozen, but w/e the money was raised anyway.

Assange said there had been calls by politicians and "shock jocks" on TV for his assassination and the kidnapping of his staff. He called it "the threat of violence in order to achieve a political end ... and that is the definition of terrorism."

are there news about Julian Assange? Whats up with him atm?

Australia:
- Gillard previously said that Wikileak was illegal and that Assange was breaking laws but failed to mention any specific laws even when asked.
- The Australian Federal Police investigated and reported that no laws have been broken by neither Assange nor Wikileaks.
- Gillard is still refusing to defend Assange. Gillard is in fact calling for his passport to be retracted and him to be disallowed entry. However Rudd has the final say, and he seems to be more of a supporter...

Not much happening.
