get one of the older versions, it will have the server maker.
You will need a reg key to do it, since the game is now free I don't see why they would care if you used a keygen...

2.7 is probally the last version that had server on it.

Only problem is the servers.txt it gets overwritten everytime you start Toribash. It's pain in the ass to copy paste private servers to the list everytime you start the game...

Private servers (toribash_server) was removed due to a security issue.

I'm not sure when or if it will return. As the owner of possibly the most popular user run server (back in the day) I am also eagerly awaiting its return.

Its also rumored that future versions of tb server will be *nix only (ie; linux). I am preparing for this possibility as well. =)

That aside, you can purchase a private server under the following conditions: A, it will serve an (official) clan, B, you must pay 50,000 Toricredits for it (the same as 50$, not that hard to get with a booster nor a clan)


Also you can't say what's simple and what isn't. Disabling toricredits from a server would require rewiring belts, ranking, Qi, users, toricredit gain, transfers, and the Tori-Bot, to name a few.


So in conclusion you can buy a private server if you're in an official clan and have 50,000 toricredits. Reverse engineering anything is illegal without the company's permission btw :P

Sorry Idlework, we have a bunch of biased motherfuckers who think they have more rights than others because they paid some money. What they fail to realize is that the game is now free, so you don't need to pay money to get permissions, even if you have in the past.

Anyways, private servers were possible a long time ago like many people said. I've gotten over it since I never played on any user made servers back then. I'm pretty sure that hampa would let you make a server launcher if you got permission and kept him updated on what you're doing. Don't quote me on that though.

and if you want to reverse-engineer and hack the hell out of toribash... go for it, I'm not going to ban you.

and I don't think hampa will either, he's a hacker at heart.

just try not farm toricredits! because no knowing what the mods will do when they find out...

edit: most of the physics in toribash multiplayer are calculated by the server...
don't unban, he has hard coded userid bypasses everywhere.
