It may take a few months, but people will eventually get a more balanced perspective. The last that I want to see happen is having people feel uncomfortable posting in their own clan boards, because of all the rules.
I just can't see that happening. If a clan did get to that point, they would probably still use their board to keep themselves up to date on the events they're doing.
The first paragraph confuses me, I'm just saying that spam won't be something we look at too hard when we're focusing on events and, well, a system which needs to be made. I'm not classifying anything or making a big deal out of it.
Nobody wants people to not post in their boards, but I think the whole "this is and this isn't spam" issue
could be resolved by removing postcount in clan subforums. That way it doesn't particularly matter if somebody considers "one word story" threads spam or not, nothing's coming of it aside from the amusement of the clan - which is hardily an issue. Though I could argue that spam isn't a big enough reason to remove post counts from clan boards because post count is absolutely pointless anyway, and it's not about posts as opposed to a general display of competence and maturity which we'd all like to see from the community.
The latter is fine, so long as you're sure. I can see it happening. You look at some clans inactive on the forum now but very active ingame. The new system may not change that at all.
