What do you mean? There is no proof that there is intelligent life besides us, there is no reason to assume that there is intelligent life out there. I suppose it's fair to say intelligent life might evolve or might've evolved sometime or somewhere. But we don't know how likely it is for intelligent life to develop.

Yeah I do agree with your statement, although I'm just taking the fact that to say it's only us in the large place we like to call space is quite immediate and not exactly accurate. But neither is my previous statement. To be honest, we will never know until it is properly proven.

So Earth has been existing for 4.5 billions years, mankind for 4 millions years, and Alien visited Earth 40 years ago.
Oh, and although telescope was invented 400 years ago, nobody truly saw them.
