hamachi is to simulate LAN over internet. i was at a friends house with my computer and some other friends. and we did not have internet. so no use for hamachi ;)
im only using hamachi if i want to play my friends now, when im at home. so i then create a server and let them join via hamachi
works perfect too

ok to answer your question you cannot make a LAN server, even on the old version, the only way tb functions is internet, NO LAN. it just plain is not capable of functioning on LAN. mabye later but it is a game still under production, mabye when it is finished
