Little known fact: clicking with both mouse buttons will reveal areas if there is no bomb in a 3x3 square under your cursor.

It reveals if there are bombs too. But the field you click on has to has the same amount of bombs indicated around it as the number.
example: you got a 1, works only if you marked one field as a bomb.

Unlimited time cheat :
Hold the Left Mouse Button + Right Mouse Button and press [Esc]. Alternately, hold the Left Mouse Button + Right Mouse Button + [Ctrl].

Don't you get unlimited time in minesweeper anyway?

Yeah, its just fun to show off to your friends and family that you can beat it on expert lvl so fast.

yeah doing it urself is fun btw i beat easy in 6 seconds without the cheat what now?!??!?!?!?!?!?
i've also beaten expert in like 300-400 seconds, i forgot

i think my record for expert is around 250-280.
The only thing sucky about minesweeper is when you get to the end and you have two 50/50 situations. There's no way you can tell where the bomb is. So it's like, 25% chance to win, even if you did all the work to clear rest of it.
The only way I can deal with it is fail two dozen games by clicking the 4 corners; waiting for that game that has less of a chance of 50/50's.
