I don't know about any of you, but I really enjoyed the first RE game. The voice acting and plot was simply incredible, astounding. Enough to challenge this decades films. Not to mention the enemies don't stop automatically chasing when you go through the doors. Gave me goosebumps as a kid.
I guess those aspects of it are timeless, but the graphics and some game play aspects feel clunky and raw.
That said I don't look for either of those things in a game, so I'm fine with it ;p
Well, it was partly the nostalgia of playing it that makes it timeless for me.
Another classic for me is Zineth. It's free too. You play as this sorta dude who roller skates around the place.
