People should be able to marry anyone they want, Remember you live in the land of Freedom. True Same sex marriage is illegal in some states but eventually all in All the states same sex marriage will be legal. Christians will just have to deal with it one day.

For those saying 'it's been around for a long time so it should be okay' or 'it's natural' or anything along those lines...
There are tons of things that have been around for a long time, that we would not necessarily want in our society. Just because crime has been around for a long time, does that mean we should accept it? Why not just take away all those crime laws, since crime is a natural thing that has been around for a long time? Along the lines of homosexuality being natural, how could something natural cause a disease such as AIDS?
I'm in no way saying I'm extremely educated on this subject, but from my point of view, it seems to do more harm than good, 'love' or not.

I personally don't have a problem with gay marriage for the simple fact it really has nothing to do with me. Most people hide behind religion as a way to mask their fears of the difference of gay marriage. I live in the state where amendment "one" was passed and in a nut shell the media passed it off as banning gay marraige even though its illegal in the dumbass state of mine. What the bill actually did harmed heterosexuals more then homosexuals. Saying that you couldn't give insurence or something or other to your faimly if it wasn't a legal marraige with your own biological kids. In a sense if you aren't in a traditional marriage (regardless of your sexual preferences) you are FUCKED!
But in all reality... I think I might be insane...

homosexuality is even around in monkies... IT IS NATURAL.
It doesn't affect you, and not trying directly to bash on religion but it's dumb that any religion thinks it's wrong for gay people to get married.

homosexuality is a persons own choice. no one has the right to judge others without judging themselves in the first place for their reason in judging. ( if you can see past the long sentence you'll get it)

...I don't want to see 2 gay guys sitting next to me at a restauraunt kissing each other...

At first I was all like...gay marriage should be banned and bla bla bla
Then I was like...why do I care?
Then I was like...they shouldn't have kids because that kid might turn out to be gay.
then I was like..gay couples want kids...
Then I was like...I feel sorry for the kid

On what Obama said: I think he just said it for more votes. I don't think he will actually do anything about it.

One, homosexuality is genetic, not a choice. Homosexuals are aware of their homosexuality from a young age, something that would not be evident if it were a choice, as sexual interest only develops around age 10 for most people. Homosexuals are aware of their difference as early as 6. Homosexuals also have similar fingerprint patterns to those of the opposite gender, more so than heterosexuals of the same gender. Homosexuality increases in prevalence among consecutive male siblings, with the first male having roughly a 3-4% of being homosexual, and an increased chance of 1% for all subsequent male births of being homosexual. And those are just a few examples of evidence supporting genetic influence. In fact, all evidence points towards homosexuality being genetic rather than choice.


Likewise, two, homosexuality is not passed on like some disease from one person to another. Adoptive children of homosexual couples are no more likely to become homosexual than children raised in a traditional family. If anything, the only visible difference that has been observed is that children who grow up raised by a homosexual couple exhibit greater empathy and tolerance than children who grow up in a traditional family. Small sample but, if it holds true with the population, then there's no reason to oppose adoption by a homosexual couple.

That would only be the case of homosexuality was intrinsically wrong.
Along the lines of homosexuality being natural, how could something natural cause a disease such as AIDS?

How could heterosexuality cause all other stds? How could sexuality at all cause any disease?

I'm in no way saying I'm extremely educated on this subject, but from my point of view, it seems to do more harm than good, 'love' or not.

You cannot outlaw something simply because "It works for society better".
