I was thinking about in the future, a way were your controls are done by you body and movement of your own body. Some way were what you do with your own body is reflected ingame, but you getting hit and stuff would have to make your own body move some how without hurting yourself.

Thats what I think would be really cool.

Doing a Tb version using an engine like RealMatter will come with many benefits actually ...

1- We will have good textured and more detailed arenas
2- ALOT of items ...cloth,weapons,armors,epic realistic mods, and more ....
3- We wont need the shaders problem cause i think the graphics will be decent and work for everyone.
4- maybe body sizes and male and female feature too..
5- 3/4 players or more
6- i dont think it will be that hard to do.

and it dosent have to be Toribash ...Toribash can stay like this.

Hmm... real human bodies? I don't like that idea at all. I think what gives Toribash its own uniqueness is its simplicity; an amazing idea that was brought to reality in the best way possible. It's a minimalistic looking game with unlimited possibilities, and I think that humanoid toris would only conform with other fighter games. As for the future, I say that Toribash will/might be totally re-done with a new but very, very similar engine that optimizes every aspect of the game to the point where any frame rate below 60 frames per second is unheard of, with a spectrum of modding that would dwarf what we have today. Well, taking a step back, by then all computers will be stacked with amazing hardware too, so it can only go uphill for Toribash as a whole.

As has been discussed quite a few times actually, Toribash's attraction lies in its simplicity - Extra features will surely be added continuously, but the core gameplay element will not change. Thats like taking the heart out of a man and replacing it with hay (a rather macabre analogy but it gets my point across). Making the models Softbodies would completely change the fundamentals, and changing the models would do exactly the same.
