@pal:
Thanks for the CnC!
For me abstract doesn't have to be just shapes, as long as I can see something else in it or if it's not clearly a tree or whatever, it's abstract.
The fact that it's not precisely in the corner is probably due to the fact that I scaled it down form a pretty huge image.
Or it's just messy and I missed it.
I don't agree that you can't CnC abstract, though.
I do agree that it's harder than let's say a painting because abstract is more about feeling than about the ability to paint.
That's why I like it so much that people comment on this because I can see what everyone feels, some like it, some hate it.
This is all valuable information for me.
Through the years you'll receive some sort of vision, you like the look of some things but dislike others.
And through the years that'll change. If people like my work and more importantly if I like it, I'll continue with this setting.
If everyone hates it I'll start to doubt myself and try new things, ultimately coming up with a personal style.
I agree that I should variate some more, this originally started as something I would do in the train to my uni, now I live in the city so I don't need to ride the train anymore.
This means that I don't need said "recipe" to make something in an hour of two, three.
There's something nice about mirrored things though, I really like it.
I might just continue with this style and make subtle changes or overlays with lines to break the splits.
Thanks for the CnC!
@Dothgar:
The picture is in the description, all I used was that photo.
I cut out several parts and laid them on top with different overlays, I think.
Changing colours and doing several other things, I'm not too sure as it's a while ago..
