I am female myself, if someone would still wonder, and yet I am towards this kind of equality - if someone deserves a hit, hes/shes hit. Being a woman doesnt mean that you cant act like asshole and think that noone can harm you. A little respect to other people wouldnt harm anyone.
edit: oh, and threat someone like you would want to be threaten. I think I didnt chose wrong word, somehow it feels wrong :-P

That would be self defense if a women tries to hit some chick who is with me, I would do whatever it takes to keep her off. But it would be accounted as defense not me actually hitting her. I just think man should man up about chicks hitting them, sure even if you hit hard, you are helping the man not be a bitch about everything.
I believe here we are talking about women hitting men for fun or just because they can. If a man is getting abused by a women(however he got himself into that situation), he should leave her, simple as that.
Saint you have a very good point, but why do "some" hit you for talking, does this mean you can hit back? Example, let me set a scene.

End: Girl cries and BF walks away... in the end it turns out the friend had the wrong information, the BF was telling the truth 100%, the GF tried to get mercy from the boy but the boy rejected and moved away from the girl. So this brings back the question from the Thread info. "how can she slap?" in a situation like this with no proof. This is wrong and plain bullshit. If the boy was wrong a slap wasnt needed but it could have been more reasonable for her to slap.

If a man slaps a woman, the slap hits a more fragile target (pardon my terms) with more force, while a woman-on-man slap hits a less fragile target with less force. That's not really an equal amount of hurt, is it?

You are right about that, but as far as I know here we are talking about stuff like slapping, or minor punches. As far as I know if a women gets that brutal and the men gets in serious condition, she can be sued or charged against. So if she was extremely dangerous, shit could be done about it. I just think men shouldn't respond to a simple slap, that's what most of us were taught to do and it should carry on to not cause more problems.
