Toribash
Original Post
An option I call Realism.
I noticed there is a subtle lack of realism mods and I find it a bit annoying or out of place when limbs can move once they are dismembered, because of this I thought of the Realism option in toribash.

What it does is once a body part has been dismembered from the main body, you cannot move it, this also applies to dismembered hands and grabbing. If you were to be decapitated, you wouldn't be able to move your body at all, much like in the real world.

This feature would be toggled like if it were Sumo, Fracture, or Dismemberment, and once it has been toggled, so has dismemberment. I believe there would be new mods circled around this and it could allow for more realistic fights as compared to usual play.

Take note this is only an idea I thought of and there is room for improvement if needed, so tell me what you think of it and if you would like to see it possibly come into toribash.

A while back people would turn the DM threshold down to 1 in duels and not move causing the other person the explode. Every time you duel you check the rules? I am just saying it could be another way to piss people off.

I still support this but I was just stating some of its negative results.

anyways, this would indeed increase the possiblilities of GM tourneys or such events, and it would be nice change

semi-supported

why's it semi-supported? :p

What's "fun" in your opinion? Some people like killing/destroying in a realistic manner, it's fun for them. And there's many people of that kind, can't just go 'n ignore them all.

If you want realism, turn the option on.
If you don't want realism, turn the option off.
Toribash might've not been made for realism, sure, but I don't see any reason to not add a feature to help out things that many people do. That's just ignoring your customers and surely won't help hampa get money out of this.
And I'd love to host tournaments with this setting. I could totally host it by telling people not to move their broken bodyparts, but there's always the kind who just want to watch the world burn. And then it'd become a pain to constantly keep watch of all matches in case of these situations. This command would easen the load a lot.

If you're scared of negative things happening due to a new feature, there won't be any progress to the game.
While it's true this might happen, it won't worsen the situation any way.

And toribash wasnt meant for realism.

~Semi-supported

That's why people will invent new mods where this might not happen, or it might happen less.
And again, it's an option. If you don't like it, change it. If you can't change it, make your own server.
and why's it semi-supported, anyways?
Yeah when I duel I check the rules, unless its against someone I know. I mean its like 2 clicks boom you're good.
Bones and nerve system.
Well, say if you get ripped in half, it wouldin't be realistic if your legs just moved on their own? Would it? So, if there was a nerve system the only parts of your body you could control would be the parts that are attached to your heart! And on the second hand, if you kick an enemy's body part like REALLY badly, then it should not blast and rip their arm off to space, it sould just break the bone and the body part would just go to permanent relax mode! I don't mean like you can't rip a body part off, I just mean to put maybe some bones and nerves into your tori. After all Toribash is a fighting simulator, so why not make it even more realistic?

P.S Sorry for my bad English
The art of being in the air is better than the ground.
It might introduce new types of scams such as someone enabling it when the other person isn't aware. Then if someone gets dm'd and can't move that limb they would report the person and that would be unnecessary

Had to address this one. Seriously, if you don't look at the rules before dueling someone you're the only person to blame. Whether it's sumo, realism, whatever, you should always check the rules before dueling someone.

Anyway, there's no reason for this to not be supported. If there's already scripts for it then it shouldn't be hard to implement. it can be toggled on and off so you can choose if you want it or not.

Toribash is about customizations, options, etc... supported
