Top 5:
5: Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Great hardcore punk album, Jello Biafra is an amazing vocalist, awesome energy throughout, no real bad songs on it. Bass playing is sick too.
4. Cop Shoot Cop - Consumer Revolt
Best industrial album I've ever heard. It's like they knew why most industrial albums are bad and took out those parts.
3. Minutemen - Double Nickels on the Dime
Another great punk album, with excellent bass playing once again (I like basses). This group had the perfect synergy and had great ideas as well, with a bunch of different style that they play.
2. Xiu Xiu - A Promise
This one is definitely out of place in my list, but Jamie Stewart's vocals are so heartbreaking that you can't help but be enamored with this album
1. Slint - Spiderland
No competition, this is by far my favorite album of all time. I could write for ages about this, but if I were to choose any album to show people that rock music should be taken seriously as art, it would be this album.
