Last linux version was 3.5, give it a try to support a fresh version.

Unfortunately my wife was nice and decided it was time to get me a new computer.

Sooo, you'll get to spread your smug superiority over me now too, as I languish in Windows 8.

Maybe after a while I'll dual boot back to Mint (or go full), but it'll be nice to have my full steam library back for a while first... ;)
"Splint Chesthair" - Is my real name.
Just echoing the previous sentiments - Starts fine and run beautifully, but no sound.

Unable to create OpenGL screen: Couldn't find matching GLX visual
Unable to open audio: No such audio device
Ambient Occlusion + Bumpmapping supported (level 12 of 12)

Is there a verbose logging mode that I could enable to offer more assistance?

OS: Debian Jessie w/ Gnome3
Packages installed (Debian names):
libsdl-ttf2.0-0
libsdl-mixer1.2
libsdl1.2debian
freeglut3
Creator of Aikido and Wushu
Most likely candidate to rediscover Toribash every 3 years.
Glad to see this is happening.

Everything looks and works great with shaders on (raytracing too) but it the lighting looks kind of weird when I turn shaders off.

Tested on 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr with proprietary ATI Catalyst drivers and Arch Linux x64_86 with proprietary catalyst drivers.
Will test on FreeBSD eventually (not sure if it'll work)

You would have to download the packages listed in INSTALL.

If you do not know how this is done, I am guessing it is

code:
sudo apt-get install <package name>

on mint.

SOUND FIXED

Other than the sound, it appears to be working. Thanks!

I'm on Arch Linux x86_64
Sound is not a bug. The game is looking for some reason for /dev/sound or /dev/dsp passing by ALSA. For those who have the game overrun other app's sounds should disable /dev/dsp by "modprobe snd-pcm-oss" and instead install packaged which includes "osspd". For Arch Linux it is "pacman -S ossp". Then run "osspd" manually or as a service. It emulates /dev/dsp though ALSA and everything works just fine. + By default in Toribash volume is set to minimum. "Unable to create OpenGL screen: Couldn't find matching GLX visual" probably nothing serious, old Intel video card, maybe. I got the same, but everything works. Had setup graphics to minimum :-)
