Very much longer... unfortunately... the biggest file with it in it... is over 4 or 5 gigabytes...

Hmm... I was pretty sure that they only had about 4 or 5 billion digits... because Terabyte hard drives aren't common yet...

Just like my dad's workplace, I'm sure a well-made science facility has storage up to many Terrabytes.
