Well in my personal Opinion every predicted disaster has always turned out to be nothing more than a mole hill. The only truly devastating occurences are the ones we didn't know were coming.

and a Polar reversal wouldn't do much to our way of life, I think the only thing i'm worrying about is all the magnets reversing their poles too. Which will screw over many of our fridges! All the magnets will invert suddenly.

But seriously, if this was a big threat to human life, it would have been plastered across the news, telling us the required information to get ready for a disaster of this magnitude.
And the whole mountain thing, couldn't possibly happen. If i got a pebble and stuck a magnet on either side of the pebble, then suddenly inverted the polarity, the pebble wouldn't shred thats for sure.

On a more seriours note, polar reversals are a very common thing, and happen in regular cycles. Nothing happens, other than, as 666 stated, the liquid core will start spinning in the opposite direction, and we will prolly all need to get new fridges.

The Mayans believed that the apocalypse would come in 2012. Also Albert Einstein said we would have 4 years to live if all the bees went away, and seeing as the bees are starting to disappear, (assuming the went away in 1 year) that would lead us straight to 2012.

I did. There's no evidence that the whole earth is doomed or anything like that in the year 2012. It's just a bunch of over-hype about nothing. We're not going to all die.

That's nonsense. The next possible polar shift is predicted to occur around 3000-4000 AD. Even there, we cannot really predict when it will happen. Also the rumor that polar shifts could destroy everything are absolutely false. Nothing will happen.
