Since the arms of a CC character have virtually no detail, this should be simple. Either improvise and make knightly armour or make it like the originals, mainly black and silver. If you're going with the latter(which I prefer) try to make it as badass as possible, as it would otherwise be very plain.
If, however, you want to add in your own details for the armour, make it not too real, and still keep a rather cartoony element.
For both of these, make it fit QS joints.
If payment is unsatisfactory, I can give you some items too. If someone would be kind enough to post my inventory I'll give them 100 tc because I'm busy right now.

You are wanting this to look like the original characters or you want some sort of added details? From your use of the word latter you prefer the original character design.
How would you like the red and blue character to be represented if they have the same arms?
Should I keep the hands colored as they are? I have made them into mits to adhere to the original character design.
It is all still rough and editable. I plan to flush out the shading unless you would like it to stay cell shaded. The QS on the top of the head is there to represent the flat top of he original design.

I'm liking yours, but the top is bad. Just make it blank. And it's still pixelated, bould that be fixed? You could use less detail, I wouldn't mind if the top bit of the visor weren't there.
The hands are still meh, try making steel gloves? I'd prefer if you stayed true to the character models.
