Post your stderr.txt (in main toribash folder)
.. but post it in the script's thread, this isn't the place.
:D
in my opinion, scripts are cool.
But learning how to script can be a pain in the A**.
so the Scripters should be honored, and they should make more cool scripts.
Scripts in multiplayer could be a new thing to try out(not those "RPGaim" scripts of curse).
I agree with Blam about the database. If more scripts came packaged in with the game, or were more easily found and downloaded (as opposed to digging through the scripts board and hoping to find a good one) then it would let more people know about scripts and what they are capable of. The more people who know, the more they get made, more new ideas, etc...

And yes, the replay fix would be good also, and multiplayer capabilities seems like a no brainer as a good idea.

C Ya!

This is actually a good point.
Some people might accidentally not put the script in the right place or something and then the script won't work, and they'll be put off.

Which again supports my script database suggestion

Oh and you can just ask for help in the script's thread, I'm sure the creator wont mind helping you.
:D
I, personally, greatly enjoy scripts, as they add a whole new level of depth to gameplay. I also agree that scripts could be greatly improved with the addition of many of the suggestions here, especially the concept of a script database, similar to the mods'. But I really feel that the scripters in the toribash community aren't recognised as much as the texture makers, and the artists. The scripters deserve more respect, as scripts keep adding that one more cool idea to toribash.

Btw, Dafe's script is such an epic win. :3

As Gubbin said, Blam's achievement script was a great idea. Also, his recent shader scripts should get more attention.

Scripts can help a new TB player, or accompany and entertain the more skilled ones.

And oh, Blam knows his scripting.
Scripts are one of my most favorite things to mess with in toribash. What gets on my nerve right now is the lack of scripters. For now I can only find a bunch of scripts that are extremely similar. Most of the scripters, and even some modders have gone inactive. We really need them back.

Interesting how there's this epic script, and no one really knows about it (this is why we need the script database thing)

I love you blam. Also achievement script ftw.

I think one of the problems is that the community just isn't geared towards programmers, and it doesn't draw a ton in, because scripts get no publicity (as it is, without replays working, that's probably good. It would just make a lot of programmers mad).

A lot of our members are in their early teens, and have no programming experience. Furthermore, the API is fairly robust, but it's missing a lot of features that would make it easier to put interesting scripts together.

i.e. I had to develop my own vector and matrix libraries, a body graph to check if one part is connected to another, and my spherical region code (I should release all of those), etc.
