You have to update drivers for your gfx card..The vendors release drivers once in a while to sort out various issues it can't handle & to up the performance.
Update it & it will work fine.

yup even vista could reduce peformance drastically compared to other OS due to the resourse it requires to run itself..XP will provide better Frame rates.
but OS change will not change the screwed number issue cause that ought to be a driver update problem

as i said earlier ALL my drivers are updated and no i could never use shaders and it was working fine on vista. also toribash was working fine a few months ago but now it doesn't so something has happened in between then and now. does anyone have any ideas on what that might be

try redownloading toribash and restarting your computer.
redownload and restart usualy fixes most problems I have =P
