It's an ELO rankig system. I believe it updates after each round.

I don't believe it is an elo ranking system, cause people have been petitioning on the csgo steam forums to make it an elo system forever. If it is an elo system, it's not made very clear. I've had days when I've won two matches, lost one and deranked (Not happy days).
