Good PCs are easy to get for cheap.

Use reddit/amazon. Build it at home yourself (using youtube) or pay an extra buck for someone to build it for you.

Honestly, gaming laptops are much better. Trust me on this one.

If you don't specifically want a laptop (for mobility, etc) don't get a laptop

I have a laptop, which does what I want it to.
Which is run Word, a web browser and Skype.



Was just asking, because I remember hearing from someone that gaming laptops overheat more often than gaming pcs

they overheat more, and when they break they are nearly impossible to fix on your own

as opposed to a computer, where if its hardware breaks you just need to replace 1 part (hopefully)

yeah but as a gaming pc owner who is busy in school and such I truly regret sacrificing that mobility.

I agree they're much more expensive but remember
a. you're paying for the whole package (and branding, unfortunately)
b. the mobility is much more necessary than you think

however, if you only got 400$ to blow I'd go for building a PC too.

...or you know, save up.

What I did was buy a good "overall" laptop that can run games decently (not designed for gaming, just runs games that i want to play well e.g. LoL, CSGO, TF2 etc.) and use it for everything.

I have classes once a week, (finished for the year, though) and spend almost all my time at home.
Only go out to go shopping, for appointments and to get drunk with mates. The mobility isn't really something I'm looking for. That's why gaming pc.
That seemed to be meaner than I intended it to be




Also, you guys getting/have Fallout4? Or want to?

I 'got' fallout 4 and am playing it

seems really sweet, only played an hour of it so far
