I got the scarf from a charity shop that week, the umbrella was from "Trespass" a pretty standard outdoors-y shop that sells waterproof jackets and rucksacks and that kinda stuff, it makes sense to market umbrellas to kids since they will love them and actually be easier to spot on a camping trip if it's brightly coloured. The face paint was an 18th birthday present from some 16 year old to whom I am eternally grateful, and the watch was found under the seat next to me in a lecture (I meant to give it back, but there was no lost property and nobody cares and it probably suits me better). The candy necklace was given to me that week (along with a load of other sweets) by some guy in my halls of residence at around 2:30-3:00 in the morning after a night out. Me and my friends were just sitting in the common room area and he walked in and gave people loads of sweets that he didn't want for some reason.
This isn't in fashion, I just like dressing in a way that draws attention away from my pretty average looking face and gives me no space to act like my usual shy, scared self. If you already look like an idiot you aren't going to worry about embarrassing yourself. I don't know if anyone dresses this flamboyantly all the time, it's just for the occasional event. If you find somewhere where this is the norm do tell me tho. I'm at uni in St. Andrews, it's very pretty there.
I'm in a church at 1:30 in the morning on a saturday waiting for my salsa, pesto and bbq sauce toasty, and my ham, cheese and chocolate toasty to arrive (cumulative price £1.00). St. andrews is a very interesting place.
