So your saying an Alienware is not mainstream? Im pretty sure it is.

@shrimp24: I'm pretty sure you're wrong Alienware is the gaming part of Dell, in a way. The Alienware machines are pretty much designed to run games ... they also cost a lot. I sincerely doubt that more than 200 000 people own a alienware piece of hardware. Compare that with any laptop brand and you'll see that they're in the minority. Expensive technology isn't that mainstream, since the "mainstream" people usually aren't rich enough to be able to afford it. If I had the money, I'd get myself an Alienware gaming laptop with extended warranty. That way I'd know my computer games would run at pretty high settings for a few more years, at least.

I wonder, though, if you can buy a better graphics card, much like extra RAM, and replace the stock one with the new one. That'd make life a whole lot simpler than going out and buying a whole new computer just to play high-res games.

Yes, there are things called "graphic cards", which in some games nowadays, are required to have a graphic card because it has better graphics or more complex. Though I think some older desktop computers don't have a slot to insert a graphic card.

Before going out and buying a graphics card, make sure your computer case can actually handle, and be able to fit a graphics card in it.
I'm telling you this because I had this same problem a few months ago, I went out to buy my new graphics card that required a 500 watt power supply to fit and run well in your Pc. I didn't know this at the time, and my computer couldn't handle the new graphics card. But luckily, my family and I where good friends with the owner of the computer store, so he generously threw in a new computer casing with a 700 watt power supply, so he basically took all the hardware from my old computer casing and installed them all into the new casing.
If it wasn't for him, I would've had to paid an extra $95 for the casing.

I have a laptop, so I don't know if a computer casing would help me xD. I've heard you can't install a new graphics card on a laptop, but perhaps I can go into my Apple Store and see what they can do.

That is the downside to macs , you cant exactly upgrade them to the extent of a windows base pc or laptop . Alienware is a perfect example of that , shit, they have been used in the military . Imagine having a military grade laptop lol .

So heres a quick update on my upcoming mod pack .

Im not the only one working on it , Luc that made the one before is involved and possibley Obazu . Though Luc is struggling unfortunatley , he wasnt the modder I expected him to be . His ability to replicate is not very accurate , so I may be the only one who will create the mods . Or I will be contacting my old buddy Smilies2.

Im trying to create the best so far sinse this will be my first pack involving this many objects and there will be a promotional video to release it . If it all comes togeather , no other mod will be able to compare.

Mods that will hopefully be made :

1 . Two short parkour locations ( for short trick sessions)
2 . Weapon spar with realistic eviroment ( not sure on the location yet)
3 . Boxing Ring
4 . Cage match
5 . Skateboarding ( without support or force )
6 . Fists of might ( send your oppontnet flying in a close quarters enviroment with a single punch)
