Anyone own a D and D Player's Handbook? Because I'd like to flesh out my character in detail. I just need to know all the possibilities.
Right now, I'm thinking of a Paladin/Cleric, specialized in a variety of healing/turn undead/magical protections and buffer spells in one hand, and master of the sword in the other.
In Skyrim terms, because that is the game I know best that has some similarity to D and D, this would be a Breton/High Elf specialized in Restoration, One Handed and Alteration (all mage armor perks, therefore wears no armor at all.) No armor means high mobility, low carry weight and requires less Stamina. A defensive-based magic character, who roams the world with his high mobility and banishes undead, however his skill with a sword (I like the Blades/Katana) permits him to battle any foe.
I'm doing my D and D research now... not sure which deity there are and which would be the right to follow. Seems that Paladin are boring and one minded, with no flexibility whatsoever and difficulty in magic. Clerics don't see as powerful offensively, and little mention of flesh/buffer spells, but the rest seems to fit, especially the Turn Undead. D&D magic is hard for me to grasp, so its nice that the cleric's restoration spells are instantaneous and not as demanding as a Wizard's.
Lawful good would be the immediate alignment that I would think of, but if this is a Cleric who roams the wilds freely, perhaps Chaotic Good is a better choice.
Uses Divine magic, which fits what I need very well. Abjuration, Alteration/Transmution, Enchantment and Universal (for the wild.) I've gotta say, some of those arcane spells are really cool. There are a lot more, that are really useful. Fireball and the like are an impossibility for this character, but perhaps Teleport, Feather Fall, Scrying, Time Stop, and the like that aren't offensive. I need to learn more about the magic side of D&D.

Aasimar is a possibility for the race. It's unique, and could explain why this character is not in a civilization, attending to people as a doctor.
With all this magic orientation, I don't want to minimalize the importance of the one handed sword. This character's sword is his life, his word to live by. His skill with it should be parallel to his healing capabilities. Being really his only offensive option, it better be really good. No Unlimita, no abilities like "swords fly faster than light" that should not be allowed for anyone XD Our characters should be about equal in our abilities with swords.
For equipment- Robes and clothing, enchanted if that's a possibility, since they have no armor and little weight. Must have a bandolier, packs, and other carrying equipment with plenty of tools and devices to manage to live alone and travel, but not enough to really affect mobility.
Weapons- The sword, most important part. Powerful, ancient, one handed, orgasmic katana.
As long range weaponry, the character has an array of throwing knives, counting with its one handed skill, that it retrieves. Not its preffered form of attack, and is used for cutting ropes, distraction, trapping people's armor to walls to prevent escape. The knives do not have much mentionable.
Overall, a nice character, doesn't go looking for a fight with people. A team player, healing the group and himself, a menace to the undead and swift with the sword. Magic colors- I'm not sure what would work, Red/White? White for sure.
I'll take a look at the character sheet, and I would love some feedback c: this is harder than I thought
