Opener Challenge 3

Halp!

Got opener, what do?!

I have a simple but very ambiguous opener, and it's your job to design the replay from there.

You must use the exact opener (attatched) up until frame 440, and do whatever you like from this point onward.

Post your one replay in this thread, and after one week I shall judge the replays. The winners will be the ones which make best use out of the opener.

This week, the opener has been created by Tamer0!

The prizes for first and second place are 6k/4k (prizes may be awarded for further positions).

You have one week, the final date for submissions is Sunday 13th December.

Thanks for the Avatar, MrAakash
Once again, so many of the replays were so close in comparison with each other that FIVE prizes shall be awarded this week:

First place - Splinter - 6k
Second place - Larfen - 4k

3rd place - Imsku - 2.5k
4th place - Rafufu - 1.5k
5th place - Fargle - 1k

Congratulations to all the winners, and look out for my other opener challenges!

Personally, I would have ranked larfen's replay the best one. And out of no dislike for Splinter, he seems like a pretty cool guy, I don't think I would have ranked his replay in the top 5. In my opinion, there were some great replays that didn't get recognition.

This got me thinking, is it just that our opinions differ quite a bit or did your judgement include factors other than the quality of the replays? Of course, I'm not telling you how to run your competitions, I'm just curious.

I usually judge purely from style, and as a matter of fact I nearly placed Larfen first purely because of the speed and fluidity. But then I saw that Splinter's replay contained no grab at all (except for the skeet), and pulling off that kind of replay including a boom using no grab is excellent in my books.

I see. I didn't look at it like that, and I still disagree whether it should be ranked the best replay. My personal top 5 would still be quite different, but that's most likely a difference in our opinions that can't be helped. Can't please everyone.

Congratulations to the winners by the way, jolly good show.
