Yes, I still don't see the problem with how they talk. Is it really that annoying to you when people talk intelligently, deady?

This is an interesting topic. I'm usually more worried about tl:dr than technical language when I put together a post. I try to convey ideas precisely, so I don't have to clarify them later. I suppose if people didn't understand the wording, they might be encouraged to expand their vocabulary.

I do see what you're talking about when people try too hard. If I didn't know what a word meant I wouldn't use it. When people make mistakes like that it makes their argument look like crap. Thankfully I don't remember seeing that happen in the forums recently.

When it comes to a phony posh accent, I limit myself to the Club of the Real Gentlemen. God knows I wouldn't talk like that if I wanted to be taken seriously. xD

I'm not trolling, I posted my thoughts, and people have responded...hence discussion. To prove I'm not just some ass trying to piss people off I will go ahead and say that you make a very good point, actually its something I hadn't considered while posting.

Anyways, I can see that this has gone way off course, I started with a simple idea, trying to say something about using complex language when it might not be needed, it's kind of a basic principle of rhetoric, but whatever, people have gotten offended. My bad. I think I have stated my points, and I don't much care to keep this going since it is clearly being misread.

Tis an interesting reflection into your time on the board. People that do talk like that are kind of annoying because it makes them seem unreal, ey?

I'm like Slycooper, the language that I use reflects how I speak in real life. Tis nothing wrong with 'tis' and 'thus'. Tis is just an abbreviated way of saying there/that is. I tend to overuse 'ergo' though. But hey, I say let people type all fancy if they want to appear fancy. If it annoys you then just get out. You can't change how people type, no matter how much you care.

I think deady should end all of his posts with "Just something to chew on."

What I don't get, is why everyone on the fucking internet feels the need to talk like they're mentally retarded all the time. I can understand a typo every other sentence, bt if ur twkn lik dis al de fukn tme u cn hrdly udrstnd wat der syn. It's really goddamn annoying when their all, "omg hav prblm halp" and then they make some half ass attempt to type properly (Go in the beginners section/Support board).

Yet somehow they can understand each other. It's like they're some sort of low grade species of unintelligent humans that talk a different language.
