Yes, it is by no mean involved in the fact that the united states is waging two wars, only because we're giving money to countries who get earthquakes.
It seems to me that you have no grasp as to what the U.S. is spending money on. You see, over spending is wrong, emergency spending is right. NOT helping haiti would save us billions of dollars and hurt the peoples trust in its government. Once the U.S. cuts down the healthcare costs and stops or succeeds at destroying the taliban, etc. You'll see the deficit go down. Deficit increases when money needs to be sent, it decreases when it doesn't. We obviously need to be spending LOTS of money. Things are not as simple as "we need to spend less, stop doing this, don't help them." Especially when it comes to situations like haiti, or famines/droughts in other countries. The spending is
necessary. End of discussion.
Most of the debt is from (like I said) the two wars, and the bailouts, which as of today, we are apparently getting all of that money back. I'm afraid I can't say the same about the wars.
