While that sounds all good and peachy in theory, there are so many separate arguments dealing with the issue that it would be impossible to ram them all into one thread. Just the last section of my OP can easily become a separate thread.

I'm pretty much indifferent to people of all religions and creeds up until they try and act superior to me based on their beliefs or belittle my own.
If a follower of any of the Abrahamic religions had made an equivalent thread to this one, it likely would have ended in trolling, flaming, and a big fat lock.
