I'm uncircumcised. The practice doesn't seem as popular among the orientals in the US, at least for all my friends. (we've had similar discussions at school before)

Circumcision is akin to an appendectomy or tonsillectomy. It is a preemptive minor operation to prevent future medical problems. It's just so minor, and so noninvasive that it is predominantly done relatively soon to birth. Additionally, a preemptive circumcision eliminates the problem of emotional fallout after a circumcision later in life.

How is it invasive? The penis is an extremity, and the foreskin is extra skin. Not only that, but it's done at birth, you have no recollection of the event happening, and no emotional scarring.

As a baby, you have no idea what the fuck is going on, and twenty minutes later, you've already forgotten that a small flap of skin was removed from the tip of your penis.
The only advantage that I can see to being circumcised is dead skin buildup or something under your skin flap. (having no experience in the matter, notice my childlike terminology)

The vast majority of 14 yearolds cannot approach this subject with any sort of maturity (as much as people try here) - see any cut vs uncut thread on any anonymous board where people dont have a "name" to uphold.

Furthermore, as many children were forced into this by their parents and it is essentially irreversable (save for transplants etc), its not a good idea to talk about this with adolescents because they will a. get defensive b. get offended/upset.

If you want to continue this farce, go ahead. Nothing will be achieved by the cut fags saying "cut is better", the uncut fags saying "uncut is better" and a few cut fags saying "I wish I wasn't cut".

There is no awareness to be had here at all.


The huge majority of these "medical problems" are no reason to cut off a foreskin. The only legitimate reason I can think of to circumcise a child is if they have severe phimosis.

There's no really huge benefit to either. Foreskin lubricates the head and protects it. Lack of foreskin means you can go months without a shower.

It's more a skin-graft than a transplant. They take excess elbow skin and strap it to the penis.

Also, did you know that some people actually regrow their foreskin post-circumcision?
