When your at your grand parents buy something is not expensive and you can have fun with it..
Like ps3 or some thingys in tb (About 1-300 $)

Later your older like 20 buy a Apartment and live there you still can visit your grand dad and grand mum (About idk lets say 5000 $)

Then when you got kids you maybe have to buy food for family ... (about 200+$ Everymonth (You better get a job lol))

Later you save some money when your with your children and buy them some presents so your a fine dad (Rest of money)

keep half in a personal savings account and split the other half in half again.

half in savings and half in "spendings".

use one quarter (half of the original half) for personal fun and the other quarter for necessities.

or simply put, distribute the half in your "spendings" to whatever you think is best. i jsut went with 50/50 need/greed but you could always employ your own reasoning with your money.

If he has 10000$ i'm sure he doesn't want to spend 250$ on a desktop he can't even use because it isn't complete.

If you want a top of the line graphics set up you would want to get dual cards, and probably something like a ATI radeon 5870 which costs roughly 420$.
