In murder cases, the brunt of the cost is in the hands of the defense, not Regina, and would never cost more than a million dollars.

I am a bit put off by the fact that you seem to have skimmed my post, and not even read the last post in the thread. But sure.

In Texas, a death penalty case costs an average of $2.3 million, about three times the cost of imprisoning someone in a single cell at the highest security level for 40 years.

I think a death sentence should not be allowed, instead they should just lock them away forever in a depressing jail cell.

I believe there should be the death penalty, because it cost to much to house a criminal for life. If you kill a cop you are treated like a king, but having a murder sit in jail for the rest of his life does not sit well with me. When they could of already been put to death many years before. There are some reason for not putting people to death. 1 you would be falsely accused. there are some people who are put to death that are falsely accused but most did the crime. So by the end of this i think there should be a death penalty.

In my opinion, people should suffer in jail rather than end the suffering quick. If they can, they should make a worse place for people who commit worse crimes than others.

Do you research before posting, Gorman has already showed the facts and proven most if not all statements of life in prison cost more than putting someone to death.

You got you information of a leftist activists blog? Lol. Deeper investigation shows that she validates her 'facts' from anti-death penalty website, which has received shittonnes of donations from the Democratic party and it's affiliates. I could very easily show you Republican version of that site too, that provides 'facts' that go against your lefties.
The best way to go about gathering information on an issue like this is to take a large amount of research and average it out and find common ground. Like I did.

The shit you spurt is recycled liberal shit from a collective cesspit of liberal shits. Shit your own shit, son.

Except he gives a definite source, and while you claim to be able to give a definite source you do not. You are either lazy, talking through your ass, or both.
Anyways, google gives these results as the first three:
http://www.fnsa.org/v1n1/dieter1.html - California spends an extra 90 million, while texas spends even more (yes, this is the "leftist blog" that gorman linked earlier)
http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/taxonomy/term/16 General figures about the extraordinary yet necessary expenses of a death penalty case
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/03/27...state-budgets/ (Fox news is LEFTIST??) Death penalty cases cost 1 mil. more than life without parole cases.
